About Me...
Who I Am
I was born and raised in Norwich, England. My home town is very historic,
dating back to the Anglo Saxons (think Norman Conquest 1066). There is a
Norman Castle in the centre of town on a hill and at one point the entire area
was completed encircled by a huge flint stone wall to keep invaders out. One
of my ancestors, a famous author, gave the town it's civic motto: "Norwich, a
Fine City". Of course, I left all that behind when I emigrated to the United
States in 1997.
In 2003, I became a Personal Trainer, certified by the National Exercise &
Sports Trainers Association, the American Institute of Fitness Educators and
the American Red Cross. Running my own part-time business, as well as
still working in the corporate arena, is very demanding. It requires a lot of
dedication, but is equally inspiring when I see clients achieving results. Each
client's unique fitness needs and personality ensures that personal training,
for me, is never dull. It truly is "personal".
My Interests
I lift weights, run, spin and do Yoga on a regular basis (what did you expect?
I'm a trainer... or should that be Gym Rat?)
When I'm not in the Gym, I enjoy hiking and anything outdoors, community
volunteering, crafts, movies, reading (fitness magazines, I admit), history,
working on my family tree and traveling. And when I not doing all of that ... I'm
asleep!
